Hey everyone! Welcome to my brand new monthly Bella-blog! If you’re reading this now, then you’re already a massive fan of Bellamianta, so as a fellow faux bronze sista, I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Rebecca McKinney and I am a 30 year old style obsessed presenter from Northern Ireland.
When I’m not getting up at 4.30am every week day to host the Breakfast Show on Cool FM, I am a fashion stylist. 3 years as the resident stylist at Victoria Square, cemented my love for all things high street (with a little hint of designer), so in this column I’ll be sharing my monthly tips and tricks to keep you looking top to toe gorgeous; for those occasions when a little more is required than simply glowing bronzed skin!
September is my favourite month of the year! Not only is it my birthday, but I love getting stuck into the new season and Autumn/Winter is by far the most adventurous time to style up outfits, the options are endless.
When the weather starts getting colder, if you’re like me, you still like a little glow. Bellamianta tan is always my go to, but I’ve found a new love that I’m obsessed with! The BeBella Bronzed shimmering dry body oil glides on over your tan perfectly and makes skin look SO god damn sexy! I love to apply it down the shin bones on my legs, on the collar bone and shoulders – it’s a little bottle of molten gold genius! Trust me!
Here’s my run down of new season pieces that you NEED in your life this month, to start your run up to winter in the most stylish way possible!
Coats should never just be practical! I am obsessed with a gorgeous winter coat and try to invest in a new one each year. If you’re treating yourself this month, go for a statement colour, or classic black or grey with military detailing. Zara has a stunning, longline mustard coat (£179) that would kill with casual denim or head to Mango for their navy and red coat with gold buttons (£99) IN LOVE!
September calls for new shoes and you cannot go wrong with a little bit of boot action! Carvella in Kurt Geiger have a range of Stuart Weitzman inspired knee boots in multiple suede colour options. If ankle is more your thing, head to Office – their sexy styles will only hit your leg in the most flattering places. Style with leather skirts and bare legs until it’s cold enough for tights.
A winter bag doesn’t have to be a suitcase and I am the worst for insisting on always having a huge bag for all the rubbish I carry around. This season though, we all need to embrace the mini bag. Topshop is the place to go, for dressy bags that are meant to be worn during the day and cross body casual bags with shearling detailing. They look designer, but cost less than £30!
Print, print and more print is the name of the game when it comes to trousers! River Island is the place to go, from check to plaid to lace. Style with a crisp white shirt, or cool slogan tee & your favourite leather jacket. Don’t be afraid to break up black and white with a red colour pop heel!
White shirts were big this summer and for Autumn time, they’re back! H&M have some amazing shirts that are very clever and look like you’re layering a corset over the top of them, but it’s all one look – saving constant tucking in time! Genius!
