Here at Bellamianta, it won’t surprise you to learn that we want each and everyone of our customers to enjoy the best possible tanning experience. A flawless, enviable golden glow is all about a combination of amazing products and perfection application. We firmly believe that our tanning collection is super easy to apply and delivers colour which is so good, you’d swear it’s real. Now that the products are covered, it’s all about the application. So with this in mind, from your feet to your back, we share our expert tanning tips to ensure each section of your body is tanned to perfection.
Legs for days
When tanning, we always recommend tanning from the feet up so that you aren’t constantly bending over, risking smudging in the process. Starting at the ankle, work your way upwards, applying in large, sweeping circles, remembering to cover the backs of your legs too! When tanning the ankles, watch out for those dry area, where tan can cling more easily. Blend well around the ankle area, as well as the knees for a natural, flawless finish.
Another notoriously tricky to tan area, the feet can give even the most skilled of tanners a hard time. Thankfully, with our top tip, feet tanning woes are a thing of the past. Just like the hands, tan the tops of the feet only, blending down the sides and lightly sweeping over toes. Work back up towards the ankles for seamless colour that looks amazing.
Arms in the air
Beginning with the shoulder, work your way down the arm and around it, for full coverage. Pay close attention to the elbow and wrist, blending well.
Get it off your chest
Thankfully, the chest and stomach areas are usually the easiest to tan! Again, sweeping, circular motions are the name of the game here. If you are particularly busty, firstly, dry underneath the area. When tanning here, lift your boobs to get underneath for full coverage.
Often the hands are a tell tale sign that your tan isn’t real but thankfully we have the answer. Tan your arms first and using only what is left on the mitt, lightly tan the back of the hands only (no palms), sweeping over it, before gliding up each individual finger, avoiding the nails. When you’re finished, gently wipe the knuckles – a notoriously dry area – to avoid too much colour building up here.
Watch your back
A friend or willing partner will come in handy here but if neither are available, that isn’t a problem. Your tanning mitt is essential in this scenario, helping you tan those hard to reach areas.
The great thing about all of our tans is that thanks to their skin loving, organic ingredients, they are safe to be used on both the face and body. When tanning your face, we recommend doing it last, and just like tanning your hands, use just the residue on your mitt, rather than applying more.
The Bellamianta collection includes both lotions and mousses so you can find the tan which most closely matches your needs. If you’re new to tanning, take your time and seek comfort that our tans are super easy to apply and loved by thousands globally. When you’ve finished, stand back and admire your handy work as your natural gorgeous, golden glow comes to life.
